You grow or you die.
So welcome to the FastTech 50 Technology Conference.
In our reconstruction process, we set out to make the FastTech 50 a more meaningful experience for winners — both past and present — and also for the many business folks who are not technology companies but use it extensively. Namely, just about everyone that does business in H-Town.
That’s why we are bringing in social media superstar Erik Qualman to headline the day. Among his many accomplishments is a video he created and updated through the years that accentuates the changes in how people relate to their customers and each other.
Everything starts at 8:30 Tuesday morning, Nov. 29, at the Hilton Americas–Houston.
1. The Technology CEO Leadership Forum — Four CEOs will tell their stories on how they have addressed the challenges and opportunities they have faced lately, what innovations they have brought to their industry and more. Expect a one-hour panel discussion with audience questions allowed.
2. Technopalooza — An interactive technology showcase will feature previous FastTech 50 winners and finalists. Technopalooza will resume again after the luncheon.
3. FastTech 50 Awards Luncheon — In addition to the awards, we’ll hear from Qualman, the social media guru who authored the bestseller “Socialnomics” and has produced the animated video everyone has seen about the power of social media. Learn more about him at http://www.crunchbase.com/person/erik-qualman .
4. VIP Speaker Spotlight — Qualman’s luncheon speech will not include a question and answer session, so this will give those who want it the opportunity to meet him, ask questions, get their book autographed, have their picture taken and more.
Part of our inspiration for this expansion comes from attendees of South by Southwest in Austin and the folks at PKF Texas, presenting sponsor of the FastTech 50. So you can expect us to put together a day that runs the table on learning, growing, connecting and having fun at the same time. Our co-sponsors for this event are Pierpont Communications Inc., Wealth Design Group LLC, the Houston Technology Center, Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship and SXSW Houston. To register- just go to http://houston.bizjournals.com/houston/event/36581
And one more thing: There are great sponsor opportunities still available.
